Ajax Amsterdam is a professional football club based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The club was founded in 1900 and has a long and successful history, having won 36 Dutch championships, 20 Dutch Cups, an...d four European Cup/Champions League titles. Ajax's home stadium is the Johan Cruyff Arena, which has a capacity of over 54,000 spectators and is one of the largest and most modern football stadiums in the Netherlands.
Ajax's first kit was completely black with a red sash, but it did not take long for Ajax Amsterdam to settle for their well known kit consisting of a white shirt with a broad red central stripe as well as white shorts and socks. Alternative Ajax football shirts follow a more experimental approach in terms of colours and design. The club has had a number of different kit manufacturers over the years, including Umbro, Kappa, and Puma. The current kit manufacturer is Adidas.
