Commemorative shirt in celebration of the classic-king's 100th birthday. On January 27, 2008, for the 7th round of the C...eará Championship, Fortaleza and Ceará entered the field honoring the clubs that gave rise to the teams, respectively Stella and Rio Branco. The game ended in a 1-1 tie.
The history of the creation of Stella and Fortaleza always passes through the hands of Alcides de Castro Santos. First, in 1912 he founded a club also called Fortaleza, which later came to have its activities closed. Then, on May 30, 1915, Alcides Santos participated in the founding of the Stella Foot-Ball Club, a name that was chosen in honor of Stella, a Swiss school where the children of Granfinos at the time studied. On October 18, 1918, Stella changed its name to Fortaleza Sporting Club and added the blue to the red and white that were already used in their uniform. The colors were a tribute to the flag of France, where blue symbolizes the ideal and nobility, white respect and red representing the struggle and the people.
