The Sächsilüüte is one of Zurich's oldest traditions. As the oldest football club in Zurich, GC Zurich wants to cultivat...e and celebrate this tradition and is presenting a specially designed limited-edition jersey for the first time in the club's history to mark the traditional spring festival.
The new Sächsilüüte shirt impresses with its elegant design in white with vertical stripes. The details on the shirt are entirely in gold, giving it a high-quality look. The video and pictures of the presentation were taken at the Zunft zur Schmiden. Abrashi and Ndenge wore the jersey for the first time in the 500-year-old Zunftsaal.
In 1904, the 'Böögg' was burned for the first time on today's Sechseläutenplatz. So it only makes sense that the Sächsilüüte shirt should also feature the GC logo, which was created at the same time. From 1900 to 1906, this was the current club acronym and now adorns the chest of the Sächsilüüte shirt.
Of course, the Sächsilüüte logo, which Abrashi & Co. have on their sleeves, is also a must. Like all the details, this logo also comes in gold.
Finally, the neck is decorated with the lettering 'Sächsilüüte 2024', plus a special font for the number and name, which round off the jersey in a classy way.
The special shirt is available in a limited edition of 200. The shirts are each marked with the limited edition number on the inside of the collar. The shirts are sent out in elegant boxes including a certificate of authenticity.
