All of the biggest names in Danish sport have joined forces in this nationwide campaign to support the country’s veteran...s. Throughout September, major teams from football, handball and hockey are playing matches with a special logo on their shirts to honour these courageous men and women and their years of service.
F.C. Copenhagen are once again running a shirt auction to benefit veterans following the successful Veteran Match on Monday.
The Lions beat AaB 2-0 in Parken Stadium, with the now-familiar Veteran Match logo on the front of the famous white shirts.
Fans can bid for the match-worn shirts at matchwornshirt.com, with the profit going directly to the DIF Soldier Project (DIF Soldaterprojekt).
The money will be used to provide safe training communities for ex-deployed personnel with physical and psychological disabilities, called Safe Zones.
This is not the first time FCK have teamed up with DIF Soldier Project and Copenhagen Municipality.
Meanwhile, last year FCK fans helped raise more than €64,000 (DKK 478,000) for the SMIL Foundation that helps to give children with serious and chronic illnesses a better life.
Worn against AaB on 23rd September 2024.
